// GOLD MARCOM AWARD WINNER

When the world of Monday Night Football meets the world of marketing, magic can happen.


This project took me out of my day-to-day email writing and into the world of premium gifting. A senior field marketing manager came to our in-house advertising agency, Kernel by Spectrum Reach, wanting a fun and unique way to show clients in our Central Florida market what they're missing by not advertising during Monday Night Football.


The field marketing team wanted to send a gift box, complete with football-related goodies like coasters, a water bottle, and a football game-scented candle. A football game-scented candle doesn't exactly sell media buys on its own... so the team needed copywriting and design help.


With copy aimed towards football fans, like "It's time your ads scored big!", "Here's why you should include NFL in your media playbook", and "Media planning doesn't have to be a hail mary!", I engaged clients and got them excited to purchase media during Monday Night Football games.






When coupled with eye-catching design elements that mirrored the field of play and data points that proved our traction in the market, the gift boxes were a knockout with clients. The creative won a Gold MarCom award and garnered a lot of buzz and media buys during Monday Night Football.
