The creative brief for this project asked me to design a print ad that would position Wonder Bread as a comfort food and provide each consumer with a warm feeling of nostalgia. I achieved this by designing a graphic of a frazzled woman wrapping herself in a cozy Wonder Bread blanket, which pushed the idea that Wonder Bread makes you feel safe and comforted. The copy suggests that when you need to feel cared for, enjoying a slice of Wonder Bread can transport you into a loved one's open arms.

This print ad works because it places the viewer in the body of the character shown. You instantly feel a sense of familiar comfort and are reminded of what it felt like as a kid to be wrapped in a big blanket and hugged tightly by your parents. The ad shows the target audience, women ages 26-56, that it is okay to take a break and spend some time practicing self-love in the middle of these trying times.
